Can anyone recommned a good book on graphics, esp. on color, etc?

I just started reading this and it looks interesting:

http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/combining.asp

The menu following you around is somewhat annoying, in my opinion, but the content has held my attention for more than five minutes...

...wait, I'm posting on the forum again, so I guess it hasn't...

I'm interested in a hardcopy book on these subjects as well, if you come across anything.

Thank you - does look good. I've heard that Designing Web Graphics 4, by Lynda, is very good. Can anyone corroborate?

on colours:

does anyone have a list (however rough) of how different colours affect the mood of the viewer?

Wow, http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/combining.asp is really comprehensive and interesting! I especially like the colour wheel.

Thanks, mr.black

Lynda Weinman's book Designing Web Graphics 4 is really more about web page design in general than about graphics in particular. It's a good book, but the title is a bit misleading.

I agree. Webwhirlers.com is very useful for designers who want to develop. And I'm sure you all want.
