On my website, http://enialis.atspace.com, I have a PNG-24 image that won't display correctly in IE. It has multiple transparancy levels, and it looks so much better than just a plain old gif that fades to black around the edges, especially with my background. Is there any way I can fix this? It was done in Illustrator CS and Photoshop 7.0.

Your site is not reachable for me but IE doesn't support 256 levels of transparency, so it's really not worth considering. All you can do is make the background part of the image - and better to use a JPEG. 24-bit PNG is not really suitable for the web because of the large file size.

Your site's not very easy to read either, which probably isn't a good thing for a blog. The text is too small and/or too dark for me to read comfortably. And the links are unreadable. Dark blue does not contrast terribly well against black!

The page looks nice, but there's a bit too much style over readability.

I changed it to a gif file matted to black, and it doesn't look so bad. It doesn't look as good, but that's ok. I've been working on a color scheme that is easier on the eyes, too, but since most of the people who read this are my livejournal-ite friends, I don't think I have to worry about it too much yet.
