    <description><![CDATA[Hi Lauri, <br /><br />First, Adobe has a great InDesign forum on it's site. Great place for your question.<br /><br />Second, it's hard to know what you want to do. Place a Word doc with a table in it, and it automatically becomes an InDesign table. To change text into a table in InDesign, select the text with the text tool, then go to Table&gt;Convert text to table... and select that. Your text becomes a table that way, and then the other commands can be used.<br /><br />Once you have a table, you use only the text tool, both for selecting rows and columns and for text editing. It's a little confusing at first.<br /><br />Hope this helps... ]]></description>
