some help please ![]()
I am wondering if there is any way to include a htmlmap in an external Style Sheet. Its for a .jpg sidebar and it would be nice to have the coding on one page rather than all the pages.
Is it possible to use the image as background: and include the map connection? ![]()
Is there css for image maps?

No, image maps are part of HTML, nothing to do with CSS. If you want a common image map on all your pages, you could use Server Side Includes, but that takes a bit of setting up.

Stuart Robertson wrote an article called the "Night of the Image Map" that provides a discussion on how to call and control image maps from css -- am not sure if this is what you are looking for but it may be worth a look.
The article can be found at http://www.alistapart.com/articles/imagemap/

Yes, this will help. Though its still too bad image maps can't be linked to directly.
Anyway thanks for the link JoAnn ![]()
