Have you guys ever seen extra white space appear under an image, inside a box? I don't know if it's a Safari issue, or something I have on my page or CSS, but I can't figure out the problem...
Check it out at: http://www.picturebridge.com/exported/image-space
There is extra white space under each image on the page...

I'm seeing it on Netscape 7. I don't know why it's there.
You might want to try eliminating the DIVs with the "thumbnail_image" class and just apply the class to the images. I don't know if that will get rid of bottom white space, but it will clean up your mark up a bit. I don't see a reason to use extra DIVs just to add a border.

Yes, good idea, getting rid of the extra stuff. That was left over from me hacking stuff out to try to fix the problem.
I cleaned house, then gave the enclosing div a specific width and height and it got rid of the extra space below the image. Go figure.
Seems like it should work without having to give the enclosing div a width and height, don't you think? I mean, what if I want the image inside the div to specify the width and height of the box?
