Markup: amending a template

Hello ,
Could anyone answer this question for me please?
Using the Scholar template (A Coffee Cup Template) the css line H1 {padding: 15px 0 60px 86px; font-size:42px; color:#000; background:url(../images/example_logo.png) left 0px no-repeat } places a logo to the left of the heading. Changing the word left to the word right and the logo is then dutifully placed to the right of the heading.
So, although I can manipulate the logo to go the left or to the right by changing the word, I am unable to place the logo to the left AND to the right at the same time. Why is this please?
Thanks,
J G Moran.

To amend a template it is good practice to open the template itself.
To do this:
1. Click File > Open.
2. In the “Files of type” drop down list select “Document Templates”.
Navigate to the template location that you created on your P drive.
4. Make the changes that you wish to make, for example add a style (see unit 2 for information about styles).
5. Save and close the template document.
