<description><![CDATA[Hi everyone,<br /><br />I would very much appreciate it if my fellow designers/developers could provide me with some critique. &nbsp;<br /><br />It's just a test page, and the overall design will undergo more changes. &nbsp;I am mainly interested in how the page renders in different browsers, as its my first bigger project in XHTML, using a CSS layout. &nbsp;I have tested myself on IE6, Netscape 6, Opera 7, Firefox, Netscape 4 (without style), WebPro on PalmOS, and the JAWS screenreader. &nbsp;I am quite pleased with how accessible the page is, yet I would love to know how the page renders in certain Mac browsers, and IE5 for Windows.<br /><br />Please don't click on any links - it's just about this particular page.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.korenwebdesign.com/samples/chh_boxmodel/centers_of_excellence/neonatal_icu.php">http://www.korenwebdesign.com/samples/chh_boxmodel/centers_of_excellence/neonatal_icu.php</a><br /><br />Thanks in advance,<br /><br />Ed]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[It renders pretty much the same in all my Mac browsers - Mozilla 1.7. Safari and IE but you do have a problem with the &nbsp;'Site search' part in all of them. <br /><br />The GO button is broken and shows as a missing image in Safari and IE. This also causes problems when you run the mouse over it as the whole form element jumps around.<br /><br />Running it throught the W3C validator, shows errors in the JavaScript and in other places. You really should validate your documents before asking for critiques - if only to save the blushes<img src="/images/emoticons/smile.png" class="smiley" /><br /><br />Everything else looks fine.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[About validation, yes I knew that, and has been solved locally. &nbsp;I got the idea to write javascript submit buttons inside document.write (having to escape certain characters), so that a standard submit button could be placed inside noscript tags. &nbsp; It works, but because of the backslashes it doesn't validate. &nbsp;Doesn't make me blush though, but perhaps it should <img src="/images/emoticons/wink.png" class="smiley" /><br /><br />I am pleased to know that the layout seems to work fine on those Mac browsers. &nbsp;I know that IE5 in Windows doesn't work well yet, so I have some more work to do. &nbsp; And I think IE4 on Mac supports import of stylesheets, but doesn't have sufficient CSS support, so I will shield it from the layout styles.<br /><br />Thanks for taking the time to comment.<br /><br />Ed]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[It looks OK in IE 5.1.7 and Opera 6.0 on Mac OS 9.2. Mozilla 1.2.1 on the same OS has the date overlapping the &quot; You are here: Home&gt;...&quot;<br /><br />I wouldn't worry too much about how it looks in IE and Netscape 4.x. Those are old, bad browsers. If the text shows up in them, be happy. You'll go nuts trying to make the formatting look the same in both good and bad browsers.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Yes, know what you mean with regard to 'going nuts' trying to make it look good in bad (old) browsers. &nbsp; However, I won't provide any stylesheets for those 4.x browsers, so they'll just have to do with a plain text version - that way, the site will still be usable.<br /><br />Thanks for the comments.<br /><br />Ed]]></description>
