Hi Joe...thanks for making the effort with your new Yabb. Here's three suggestions, please...:

1. A category for FORUM SUGESSTIONS might be helpful. As it stands, we are using MISC to make any suggestions.

2. Please consider allowing USER AVATARS or personal pictures. In your Forum Preferences and Settings, you can turn this on and restrict the width and height of personal pictures. We have found success with our Yabb by doing this. Adds a personal touch for the members.

3. Another category to add: "Write A Review." This category can really kick-start your new forum.

Hope these suggestion are well received.

'Suggestions' is a topic under 'Please Read First'. What does that tell me ;?)

If there were some decent images It switch on avatars but the avatars that come with YaBB are too nasty for a design forum, so I turned them off. i must admit, I find the smileys exceedingly naff too, but they don't use much bandwidth.

Reviews are always welcome if anybody wants to have a go but I think they should be topics under existing headings - software, browsers etc.

Ok...I went back over the "read me first" category and found the "suggestions" area. However, that is hidden inside the "read me first" category. It not not up front and as a result, easy to not find. Suggestion is a major category!

People will want to put up pictures in their profile. They help to make a forum more personal.

The "Write a Review" category suggestion was for suggested as a means of allowing all of us to write a review about your site. I should have added that to the original posting. Sorry.

Good luck with this forum.
