Scripting: Scroll Bar Issues

Hey does anybody know how to deal with a bottom scroll bar in a division i have set to "scroll"? I have a div, with a set width and height, and the text fits perfectly left to right, but i need a top to bottom scroll. So i set my css to overflow: scroll and it keeps putting a scroll bar at the bottom as well! Help would be appreciated! Thanks
