Welcome to Siteometrics

Welcome to Siteometrics. In 2005, Siteometrics was one one of the only web sites exclusively dedicated to offering SEO / Webmaster tools free to use, without any obligation and without sales offerings. Since then, a number of sites have copied Siteometrics word for word (nothing like doing a search and finding that someone is looking for a freelance coder to copy Siteometrics). Usually, the scripts don’t work on these new sites and they are either trying to sell the scripts or something else. But it is frustrating when these copies of Siteometrics place higher on Google.
Recently, CAPTHCA scripts have been added to some of the tools because of abuse. For example, Amazon levies a small fee to access the Alexa rank tool. This fee did not used to be a problem, as the ads offset these fees. But, when some people were running automated Alexa rank searches for 1000s of websites at a time, the fees became an unwelcome burden and a significant source of irritation. The Alexa tools were taken offline for months. I also neglected the other tools and even thought about closing the site. But, the site is now fully operational, the freelancer that can capably update the tools is available once again and the site provides a pleasant diversion from my day to day activities in healthcare research. So, the site will live on awhile longer and I will endeavor to keep the tools running. But you can help - if you discover that something isn’t working, please send an email using the link. If you report something useful, I will add a link on the Siteometrics homepage to your website for a while. And, of course, adding a link on your site to Siteometrics will be greatly appreciated.
